Ahmed Abdel Latif

Senior Programme Manager for Innovation, Technology and Intellectual
Property at ICTSD

 

Ahmed Abdel Latif is Senior Programme Manager for Innovation, Technology and Intellectual Property at the Geneva based International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD). He has taken an active part in global discussions on intellectual property, public policy and development. 

He worked at the Permanent Mission of Egypt to the United Nations and the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva (2000-2004) where he was a delegate to the TRIPS Council and to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

He is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), the  American University in Cairo (AUC) and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences- Po Paris).

He is co-editor of the UNEP/EPO/ICTSD report on Patents and Clean Energy: Bridging the Gap between Policy and Evidence.
