Barbara Nebel
Managing Director for PE Australasia
Barbara Nebel has over 12 years Life Cycle Assessment experience and is an expert implementing sustainability in daily business operations. Barbara is the Managing Director for PE Australasia, providing product and corporate sustainability services to industry and government departments.
Her projects focus on the primary sector, but also include the building and energy sector. She has worked on projects in Europe, Australia and in New Zealand, as well as on international projects. Barbara represents New Zealand in the development of the ISO standard on Carbon Footprinting ISO 14067, reviews papers for the Journal of Industrial Ecology and is an associate editor of the International Journal of LCA and the New Zealand Journal of Forestry Science.
Barbara has founded the Life Cycle Association New Zealand (LCANZ) and is the current the President of LCANZ. She is also instrumental in setting up a national life cycle inventory database. Barbara is also on the steering committee for the Australian Life Cycle Initiative and an observing member of the Management Committee of the Australian Life Cycle Assessment Society.
