Senior Research Fellow at SEI in Energy and Climate
He joined the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) in 1998, after working as Senior Research Associate in the Energy Analysis Program at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory. He is Senior Research Fellow at SEI in Energy and Climate, focusing especially on analysis and dissemination of more effective and efficient uses of biomass resources at regional scales, and linking these uses through exploitation of synergies across energy, climate and development policies. He has served as an expert evaluator or advisor to UNIDO, FAO, European Commission and EUROSTAT. He was co-editor of a recent book on the food vs. fuel debate (ZED Books) and is co-editor of a forthcoming book on bioenergy from sugarcane in Africa (Earthscan).
