Senior Manager of CISDL

Patrick Reynaud, BCL/LLB Candidate (McGill), BA Hons Psychology (Concordia), DUECODEV (Université Marc Bloch). Patrick Reynaud is the Senior Manager of the CISDL. As Senior Manager, he oversees the work of the CISDL Secretariat and coordinates the CISDL research programs and legal research group. Patrick also conducts research focusing on the legal transition to a green economy. Recently, he has focused on sustainable development in free trade agreements, and how the lessons learnt from sustainable and environmental impact assessments can and are being incorporated into trade liberalisation agendas, focusing on challenges and opportunities. Patrick also conducts research on sustainable development in world finance law. Patrick is also a Program Specialist in Sustainable Development and Environmental Law for the International Development Law Organisation (IDLO), an Intergovernmental Organisation based in Rome. Patrick has acted as a legal specialist for local NGOs in developing countries, focusing on land rights, labour rights and freedom of expression. He has authored numerous legal briefs on legal empowerment of the poor and the legal aspects of the transition to a green economy.
