Associate Fellow at CISDL
Ms. Sarah Mason-Case, LL.M. candidate (McGill University), LL.B. (Osgoode Hall Law School), B.A. (McGill University and Université Paris-Sorbonne). Sarah is an Associate Fellow with the CISDL. She was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2008, after having completed her articles as a law clerk in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and Divisional Court. She is currently an LL.M. candidate in a specialized law and environment programme, jointly administered by the McGill School of Environment and the Faculty of Law. Ms Mason-Case is a Legal Officer in the IDLO Legal Preparedness for Climate Change and Legal Preparedness for the Green Economy Initiatives. As such, she supports developing country governments to assess and overcome domestic legal and institutional barriers to climate change mitigation, adaptation and finance through sound legal reform. With the IDLO, she also acts as an expert panellist before country representatives and international stakeholders at various UN conferences, such as the Conferences of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the UN Conference on Sustainable Development. Additionally, she maintains a roster of international legal climate change experts for up-to-date programming and publications, to which she also contributes personally.
